Education Secretary announces that Citizenship is to remain in the new National Curriculum.
The recent curriculum review announcement proposes the inclusion of personal finance for the first time in the new draft citizenship curriculum. At the Citizenship Foundation, we believe it is important to talk about financial education and to ensure that this covers both public and personal finance. This approach equips young people with the knowledge and understanding on the how and why of finance and gives them the power to make informed decisions about financial matters, both personal and public.
